domestic reindeer of Siberia and Mongolia.
$5 purchases two Tyvan language books that can help two Dukha families
continue to learn and use their traditional, native language.
$25 provides a Mongolian or Russian colleague with critical travel costs for jeep, driver
and gasoline in order that they can reach remote field destinations to
check and treat reindeer and train herders in their care.
$50 purchases five wood and bone carving tools that traditional herders
use to make crafts for supplemental income.
$75 is the "adopt-a-reindeer" level whereby the Totem Project can continue
to work with the State Veterinary Laboratories of Mongolia and Tyva,
Russia, in keeping reindeer alive, well and prospering in the taiga.
$250 secures translators and covers the costs needed for native rights
workshops and seminars with government official in Tyva, Russia and
Mongolia.
